***The Countdown***

We leave for Germany in 14 days and we are getting very, very, very excited to see Seth. Dad asks me every day, "How many days is it today?" One of these days, I might tell him, "It's one less day than yesterday."
So, I started a countdown from 20 days. It's been going on for about a week now and I cross off and write the new number every day. It is very fun to do. I'm going to try to add wiget to my blogsite so you can count down with me. I tried but I couldn't get one to work. You'll just have to put a piece of paper on your frig. and do it like I do.

My 18th Birthday

Yes, the big 1-8 is here!! I can offically vote now and I am working on my license. Maybe I'll get it this winter. I woke up and went to church today. Then we came home and had dinner. But we didn't have any cake and ice cream. Instead, we had the desserts from Saturday.

Saturday we went out to lunch to The Olive Garden. It was good! We had a lot of fun. Tessha, Me, Mom and Dad all went. Yesterday was Tessha's birthday. We each bought a piece of cheesecake or a chocolate tort (that's mine) and we bought an extra white chocolate, raspberry cheesecake for Grace. Tessha and Mom bought pumpkin, carmel cheesecakes and Dad got a white chocolate cheesecake like Gracies. But we didn't eat them there. We brought them home and put them in the frig. for today.

Then we opened presents. I got a skirt and two shirts and socks and $10 from Dad. Tessha got a candle and a framed picture from Grace. Mom bought our lunches and Dad gave Tessha a bouquet of beautiful flowers and a card.

Now it's Sunday and I go to school on Monday. It's my first day as a Junior!!! I get to have Heather back as my aide in the general ed. classes. She is awesome!!! and I'm excited to see her!!!

I'll still be taking piano on Tuesday mornings before school and Dad will still take me to my therapies after school.

The 4th of July Parade

This is a picture of the semi that pulled our 4th of July ~Skyline High School Student Government Float. Since I'm in the Student Government class I got to help make the float and then ride on it or walk in the parade. I walked for a bit and then rode on the float. Lots of my friends were there and my favorite teacher was on the couch. I dressed up like a baseball player and borrowed a bat from Taylor, next door. Grace helped me get ready and took me over early. Then she went and got Heidi and then they met Mom at the parade. Mom tried to take some pictures of me but I didn't see her, so this is what she got. Amanda was in the parade with the DARE kids. It was a fun day. Here's a picture of my legs under the truck. I was going around to get on it when Mom took the picture. I have on the blue socks. These are some of my favorite teachers on the couch.

Did You Say "Surgery"?

On June 9th I had surgery at Primary Children's Hospital down in Salt Lake. They gave me a shot that helped me go to sleep and then they made a pharngeal flap in the back of my throat just below my nose. And now my skin's falling off. Not really but it feels like it. After the surgery they took me to a room where I slept all day and all night. The next day we came home and I've been a bear every since. It still hurts to swallow but I have two speech paths working on me; one of them is my mother. Gracie and my friends brought balloons, flowers, cookies and pop for me. The End.

You thought I was going to say, "A few good men.", uh! Nope these are all of me and my basketball trophies. Enjoy! I did!!

Now all I need is a leather jacket - maybe next year when I'm a junior.

Basketball Stories

Basketball season is over but it didn't fizzle out. It went out with a pillow and a letter. "What?", you ask. Well, look here!
